ABOUT THE ARTIST
Janny's subtle country drawl mixes with a soulful-bluesy delivery which results in a very unique style. Gifted with a wonderful vocal agility, Janny is able to intone and inflect a broad range of emotions into her music. The common denominator is a passion and energy that speaks to the soul. When she takes up a song, whether her own or another's, she works it and reworks it until she has made it is uniquely hers.

Janny's vocal style reflects a deep appreciation for a variety of musical genres. She grew up listening to Patsy Cline, Janis Joplin and Madonna, and later drew inspiration from such artists as Jewel, Elvis, Faith Hill, Allison Krauss, Susan Tedeschi, Van Morrison, Julie Roberts, Dave Matthews and Otis Redding.

Janny has performed at various Nashville spots such as the Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner, 3rd and Lindsley, 12th & Porter, The Country Music Hall of Fame, Saffire Restaurant, McDougal's Village Coup, Mickey Roos and Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. Janny performs at various charitable events and fundraisers including the Mason Lindley Concert for Miracles in Burlington, NC. She earned a spot as a finalist in the "Tootsie's to the Ryman" competition put on by WSM Radio, and she advanced to the final stages of the Nashville Star competition in 2007 and 2008.Janny McClure, country singer, songwriter

Smoke Still Lingers co-written by Janny McClure and Wendell Mobley

I'm Going To and Without You co-written by Janny McClure and Michelle Timmerman

24 Years was written about my dear friend Ricky Hendrick (son of Rick Hendrick of Hendrick Motorsports) who passed away a few years ago in a plane crash. It is dedicated to Ricky and his family.

Me and Bobby McGee is a Janis Joplin cover, which was written by Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster. I loved this song when I was a little girl and would sing it while doing the dishes with my dad in the kitchen.

Leather and Lace was written by Stevie Nicks

When You Say Nothing at All was written by Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz
